            <description><![CDATA[Category: Maintain<br />Summary: Our home DOES need to be stained, but only every 6-7 years.We do our annual checks around the perimeter of the house.  Sometimes we have birds' nests on the notch-and-pass corners, as you might guess.  An occasional new upward-facing check to fill.  The biggest job, of course, is to stain the outside (you don't need to strip previous stains), and we've found that, given the amount of sun and our local weather patterns (Ohio), stain lasts for 6-7 years.  Oh, and we're doing the spray-on kind.<br />]]></description>
